Hi everyone,
we are currently making a SAP UI5 PoC combined with the fiori launchpad (the default one /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html)on an ECC system with no HANA db. We use static tiles and dynamic tiles to navigate to our UI5 apps.
We created semantic object and customising in LPD_CUST to point to our UI5 apps, groups and catalogs/target mappings, role in PFCG to make these appear int he launchpad. Odata and apps are active in SICF and working.
Our problem :
Everything was working fine until yesterday when some tiles began to disappear from our launchpad. The catalog they are in is still on the page but the tiles are gone.
What we found until now :
We found that if we add a dummy tile with no navigation, it will appear but if we add the sematic objects and action they disappear. We also found that direct url works (the tile is present) but it will open ou app in a separate windows and we don't want that.

We tried the following without success :
- recreate from scratch the whole catalog/group
- add SAP_ALL to the user to avoid authorisation issues.
- create a new semantic object and use it on a tile
- reboot the machine
- resyncing/refreshing/invalidating caches with :
/UI2/INVALIDATE_CLIENT_CACHES
/UI2/INVALIDATE_GLOBAL_CACHES
/UI2/CHIP_SYNCHRONIZE_CACHE
/UI2/DELETE_CACHE
/UI2/DELETE_CACHE_AFTER_IMP
/UI5/APP_INDEX_CALCULATE
- Checked the steps in the sap troubleshooting page for chips (Troubleshooting - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library)
Has anyone encounter this before ? Can you help us ?
