How can I capture touch point anywhere in a list

I need to capture the touch event so that I can perform some specific UI modification on run time.

In UI we are using some swipe gesture to visualise 2 button on line item of a list. As per the UI design we customized some css and added our class and style to get the UI effect during the swipe. But when we touch anywhere on screen those swiped items become invisible, and because of the custom style it looks odd on screen. So we need to remove the custom style on touch. How can we achieve this?
