Fiori App Extension Question

Hi All,

I am extending a standard Fiori app with good success but have been given a new task that I am not sure I can complete. The app is a Fiori Master/Detail transactional app "Retrieve Safety Information" part of the EHS Component Extension.

The task is to add a new Filter button to the bottom Bar. I am familiar with how to implement this functionality, the issue is that I do not see an extension point in the S2 view where I can add a button.

Am I correct and there is no way with standard extension points to do this? And if so, do I need to create an entirely new app to get this functionality?
